Question about Indian Heads and the F75

I found a 1902 today. It was about 5 inches down and gave a strong reading like a penny/dime. When I got it out on the ground and took another reading, it had a medium tone like a zinc and read 60 on the number scale. My question is, will an Indian head sound off like a penny/dime (high pitch) most of the time or will there be times when it has the medium tone? ( when using 3H tones )
I really like those Indians and don't want to miss them when I do come across one. I do dig all deep repeatable signals that show 50 or above numbers. What has everyones experience been when coming across one? Thanks for any input.

is that it often tends to Id coins in the ground a bit higher than it should, ESPECIALLY if there is another conductor close by. It 'Averages up'. in other words, it will add the small conductor to the coin ID, and ID it higher overall. When I first got the 75, I noticed that many times when hunting with a high disc, I'd get a good signal in the ground, but when I got the target out, it was nowhere to be found. lower the disc, and there it would be on top of the ground! Thats a good thing actually, as it allows you to dig certain items you may have left or passed over. Unfortunately, it doesnt make for the most accurate Id though.............. Streak!

The coinstrike is one off hand I had alot of experience with. I agree, & really like that the F75 brings ID's UP rather than down. Seems some "iffy" ones might be brought up into a diggable range. Often I wonder if I missed deepies using C$ averaging, especially in trash or minerization....
