QUESTION ABOUT HEADPHONE ADAPTER

DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE ADAPTER OFF THE DETECTOR WHEN YOU GO IN THE WATER BECAUSE ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SUBMERGED AND THEN PUT ON THE WATER HEADPHONES. THANK YOU.
 
if you go into the water you need to take it off and use water proof head phones just in case you fall or some how wind up submerging the hole thing.:surprised:
