Seems a bit excessive on power draw. I usually use AA rechargeable batteries, they usually last all day + a little bit more, when I use alkaline batteries they usually last a whole weekend. Might be the settings you use, if you use a wide open screen where it beeps at everything you would use more power.

grunt0311, I have to charge my battery a good 12 or 13 hours before it is fully charged in order to get several hours out of it.
And I know the AA's have to be a good quality in order to get several hours out of them.
If these are similar to your stuff then you might have another issue.
