Question about EX II

sandoler

New member
Hello all,
I am very, very new to the Ex II. I am just learning the machine and I have a question that even to me sounds silly. How do you recall or load a saved program if one is in the factory quick start mod? :? Silly me cant figure it out and I'm sure its simple.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

You will have to go to the advanced mode, then the select and you will find one of your saved modes. Now after you load it you can go back to quick start and the program will carry over.

Saving and loading targets or patters is a function of LEARN in the ADVANCED mode. In Learn, one a target or patter of targets are learned they are stored in an S memory location by pushing the pad at the lower right of the screen that is animated. This will bring up memory locations S1 through S6. Select the one where you want the screen saved. It is loaded with a Check for accept or and X for reject depending on what you want to do with the stored target.

You can save general setting in USER A or B and also load them. We cannot save the IRON MASK screen. We can duplicate an iron mask in the SmartScreen using edit then go to learn and save that. What is saved in an S memory location is going to be what is shown on the learn screen. What is saved in USER A or B are the general settings.

There is a good section in the Owner's Manual that walks the user through this. It is a little difference in if you want to save a pulltab for rejection we use a black screen in Learn to learn the pulltab, store it in a memory location and if we want to reject it in a pattern we reject X the pulltab. If we try to learn the pulltab for rejecting in learn with a clear screen that will not work to call it up later for rejection. This one area may not be that obvious.

Learning target to be accepted and rejected is a POWERFUL feature of the Explorer as we see the targets as site specific. That is we see targets in the soil matrix that we are going to hunt. This really helps, in my opinion, with target skew.

Have a good one,
