I do not find the link offensive-I am a Compadre disciple. I learned my Ace's weaknesses and learned how to overcome them. I certainly could not do without the Compadre in some areas.cladcanada said:In my opinion ........they are not even close Compadre all the way
I had the ace ......Had!
Compadre has better target separation as opposed to notch disc Thanks to Ed '180
I dug lot of crap and bobby pins , now no bobby pins and still hit all our Canadian steel core clad.
There's a reason for the church of the compadre , google it read it then make your choice
And yes mine paid for itself within the first month
Interesting article FYI

Hope above link is ok ,if not sorry to offend or break rules
My intentions are to promote treasure hunting ......happy treasure hunting.
bigelow said:Honestly, most targets I hit in parks are less than 7" (3-5" on average) deep, depth is probably only a concern if you are relic hunting or searching for deep silver, otherwise most machines should have the depth you need. Personally I feel depth is overrated in most cases.
hatpin said:Depth is an issue in the woods also as there usually several inches of mulch on top of the ground.
They're good as is-but the sniper coil transforms them into great!Idxpro said:I had 2 Ace250's....they were fun in parks for coin shooting.. I liked the notch feature for cherry picking....not too shabby on depth....Pinpointing was very good....good starter machine...just my 2c
bigelow said:I have owned an ace250 and the thing I didnt like about them is they dont seem to fade in depth readings like the Tesoro does. I own 5 Tesoros currently and with the exception of the Compadre 5.75" they are all deeper or can at least get a faint signal deeper. The ace seems to just "bottom out" at a depth (i.e no faint signal of a deeper target like the Tesoro does) I am trying not to be biased in my opinion but honestly feel any Tesoro is better than the Ace250, the reason I sold mine.
