Question about conductive/ferrous

In considering a Quattro, I'm wondering if you have the choice of conductive or ferrous audio in all four modes or are you limited to certain types in certain modes?

Thanks,

Hi Phillip,

Normally your coin , coin & jewellery , are in the conductive mode.
Your relic & all metal are in ferrous. You can change all modes in
to what ever you like. If you would like to change coin to ferrous
just touch relic then push down on coin for a few seconds and it will change to ferrous. The same with coin and jewellery. With relic and
all metal just do it in reverse. To change to conductivity.

Hi smileawhile,
When you are in conductivity in coin and coin & jewellery. you will get conductivity audio response and also have icons displayed on the screen. Its called cross saving.Turn the detector on ,select the coin search mode press and hold the on relics touchpad when you see saved
you have just changed conductivity to ferrous. It just means you can change the way you detect. It also makes the detector more versatile.
You need to read ANDY SABISCH book MASTERING THE QUATTRO. This format
is not in the MINELAB MANUAL.

Hope you get the gist of it now.

Once you have changed the response setting there is a small Icon next to the mode button you are in by pressing the mode button it cycles through a check mark which is the factory setup and a human stick figure which is your user customized mode. If you see an asterisk it means you haven't saved your changes yet. Hope this helps. I am new to the Quattro also and really like it. Very powerful and easy to pinpoint. I use the wiggle method which works whether you are in pinpoint or not.

When using the conductive and ferrous tone settings, get use to the differences in pitch in the signals. There are many variations and with lots of use, you can learn to tell if the targets are good or bad. It's just one of the many facets to the detector that makes it interesting.
