Question About Coinmaster Pro "water resistant control box"

New member
I read that the Coinmaster Pro has a "water resistant control box" and was wondering if that means it can be used out in the rain without it requiring an environmental rain cover? Would it be safe to use the Coinmaster Pro in flood rains where it's pouring down so hard and fast it can flood areas in a few short hours?

I understand that the "water resistant control box" is not to be submerged underwater and is not for underwater usage.

Thank you for any and all information that you can provide.

I think i would call Whites, I don,t think it is rain proof. Only detectors that are some rain proof i think is Fisher. Good Luck

i don't think there are many non water detectors that would be totally water resistant without a cover. as the coinmaster pro is a very inexpensive detector i doubt that it is. the exception would be if it doesn't have an external speaker.

there's a guy who just posted on the metal detecting forum looking for someone to hunt with in northern ky. i think he's across from cincinnati, don't know how close that is to you. he posts as greedykind.

KY, That is about 60 miles from me. I do go to Lexington now and then. Do you do good where you are? I have some parks that are old but picked over well, little silver now and then, few rings. Now when i lived in Columbus Ohio, the parks are full of rings and things. I have 30 to 40 gold rings and 40 to 50 silver rings from there. Good Luck Flintstone

most of ours are hunted hard. i did get lucky the other day. i got several signals real close together but one was a little better so i dug it. was surprised by an 1875 dime. went for the others and they were all new zinc cents. i did get a silver quarter right on top of the ground. good luck
