Question about coils

So if I got this right 8" concentric is better for coins and the 11" DD is better for relic hunting?

I used the 8in. again Sunday I could not believe what happen in 2 of the holes.

First it hit high tone looked at the ID says quarter, well it was a quarter alright wrapped in alum tin foil. I just sat there with amaze. I showed it to my wife and she ask what did that go off as, I just looked at here and smiled

Then it went off high tone another time I after digging I pick up a hand full of dirt and a dime and three pull tabs fell out of my hand. I starting to like this f4.

Found 12 qts, 17 dimes, 4 nickels 21 copper pennies in 2.5 hr.

Having a hard time with the ground balance because of all the trash at the park so I just set it where it was the last time. can't find a clean ground.

Way to go Johnny, got to love that F4. I like using the DD coil on my F4 better, it seems to be much more accurate id'ing the targets. Maybe my round coil isn't as it should be I don't know. Even though the 4" gold nugget coil is less than $40.00 I can't afford one at this time - but as soon as I can I am getting me one. I bet it would be just an awesome combination - just think a F4 with a "sniper" coil, it would be sweeeeet! I am a dairy farmer & we just started haying so I haven't been out lately, but my wife has used it the last few days and is doing quit well with it. The last time I used it was Saturday evening - I was out only 15 or 20 minutes because of rain but the last target I hit said a dime at 7 inches. Sure enough out came a 1950 silver dime. Man it is a good thing we don't live in the same state or between the two of us there might not be anything left for the others to find lol. I do really "dig" my F4! Steve...
P.S. I wouldn't worry about the ground balance unless you hunt in the all metal mode because if hunting in discriminate mode it is in fixed ground balance mode (factory set). I am 99.9% sure of this but would like someone else to verify this to be sure. It would of been nice to have the F4 with adjustable ground balance in all modes - not sure why they didn't make it that way.

You'r off to a good start $5.11 of change is good. Seriously, it is for only a few hours of hunting.

I'm calculating how long to break even on my CZ-3D with only the change that I find. 2012 I'll have it all paid for :)

Happy Hunting
