Question about coils for GTA 350

Hello everyone. I just got back into detecting after a few years of being away from it. I have used nearly every brand except for garrett. I came across a Garrett GTA 350 for $100 so I snagged it up. It came with the 4.5" coil only. It says Crossfire II. I am trying to find out what coils will work on this. I see ads for coils that are just "crossfire" and not "crossfire II" and they say they will work on the GTA 350. How is that so? I thought a machine that used "crossfire" could not use "crossfire II" coils and vice versa. Can anyone tell me, for sure, what coils will work on this machine?

Signed,
Confused in illinois.

THe 350 hasn't been produced in way over a decade. It's hard telling what might fit it. Contact Mary Penson at Garrett and ask her. maryp@garrett.com

the 350 uses the crossfire coil.the crossfire 11 is the same coil but with a different connector that fit the newer machines

Thanks guys...I found out that someone apparently wired a new connector onto a crossfire II coil so it would work on this machine. I spoke to mary at garrett this morning and she cleared things up.
