Question about coils 4X6 vs 10dd

For general hunting in trashy areas which of these two r the best. How do they compare to each other in depth and in weight?

I don't own a 10'' or have ever had the privilege to hunt one,I do own 6x10 and 4x6.I don't figure the weight of the 6x10 and the 10'' are that far apart and though only dealing in ounces neither could come close to swinging the 4x6 all day.
As far as depth,in my hunting experience I've not recovered anything past 8'' with either. The ground here in the Tulsa area is all ready rock hard and a plug will explode in your hands,I was in a yard last nite recovering shallow targets(old neighborhood)with the 4x6 and was hearing targets that pinpointed past 12'' no vdi (I'll go back when the time is right)the 4x6 is a coil I would not want to be without.picked up a standing liberty with it at about 7'' that a 9.5passed over only minutes before, but I've been on both ends of similar recovery's.

You state "trashy areas" In my experience with the 4X6 it's the best choice going for HEAVILY trashed areas and a delight to swing and pinpoint with. If I were wanting to cover larger areas of fairly clean ground then I'd be looking at the 10"DD or the Super 12 .
My two bits.

BarberBill is right..think your question was kinda one of those night and day questions..I own 4x6 and a great coil in extreme trash and excellent in tot/playgrounds lots as it gets close to swings/slides...etc...i dont own a 10d..but would have to assume not very good in a trashy area...granted might have more depth than 4x6...but would be hard for 10d to hone in on target if real trashy regardless of depth..weight...4x6....cant tell its on there...10d...i cant give answer. ..its late and just my 2 thoughts..Curt
