Question about Clean Sweep Coil

Hello All,

I was wondering how you pinpoint with the long, narrow clean sweep coil. My guess is that you would pinpoint off the end of the coil. Any input would be appreciated.

I use the front tip, dead nuts accurate pinpointing. Can use the back end too.

Jabbo's right.
I've got one I use on the Cibola and Tejon.
I recently picked up one for the Sand Shark but have not tried it yet; so don't know yet if it pin points as well with the pulse induction technology.

Thanks Jabbo,

You sound like a machinist. We use the term "dead nuts" a lot when talking about dimensions and things.

The clean sweep coil pinpoints either at the front or back.I pinpoint with the front of the loop.you find the center of the target with a left to right sweep.Once centered, slowly pull the coil straight back. When you lose the signal the target will be directly in front of the coil.winthin about an inch,Not under the edge of the loop.

Clever!

Harv, not a machinist. Retired draftsman, mostly piping design.
