Question about buying Whites metal detector

Hi, I've been looking on craigslist for a used metal detector. I'm trying to find a fun hobby to do with my 10 year old daughter on weekends. I was offered a Whites Classic IDX with additional 10" Blue Max 950 coil. I'm being offered it for $250 and wondering if anyone has any suggestions???

Make use of craigslist, certainly, but don't hesitate to glance over some of the used models offered in the Findmall Classifieds, and contact some of the listed dealer who support these forums.

It's a great hobby and I am sure you can enjoy time with your daughter ... as well as enjoy the hobby yourself.

Is the detector the Classic IDX, or the IDX Pro? The stock coils for each of these models is the BlueMax 950 (9
