Im looking to get into water hunting and i have a chance to get a good deal on a tigeshark...Im trading my mint v3 for a tigershark and another land detector..just waned to know if the tigershark would work on salt water beaches and salt water???How would you rate this detector in depth.....

they are great fresh water detectors, but lack depth on salt beach..about 1/2 the depth of an Excal..also keep in mind you cant get some parts for them as they are no longer being made!

Yeah, unless that tigershark is being thrown in for free, I wouldnt get it. There are better water machines, and much better saltwater machines. What land machine you getting in the deal?

I think what you meant was the Excal is better in the salt water than the Tiger Shark.

The TS can be used on salt beaches but it is noisey and it does not do real well. Now you may be able to get the TS and trade it for another machine, maybe a CZ 20or 21 or even a used excal.

hey i got an infinium with two coils and both headphone. seems to be a good machine but i have a cz21 i use more if your interested
