I use 9.6V PowerEx rechargeables in both of my BH machines with no problems. They can be charged in a good rapid charger with no problem. They are sold at Batteries Plus stores but can be had much cheaper from www.zbattery.com or other internet sites. They cost a little more but you shouldn't have to worry about them swelling or bursting in a rapid charger. I also bought a PowerEx rapid charger that will charge 4 batteries at once. However, each battery is charged on an individual circuit and when a battery is fully charged the charger drops that circuit down to a trickle charge so you can leave them on the charger without worrying about overheating them. The charger also came with a power cord for the car so you can recharge on the go.
