QUESTION ABOUT 5900

All I can say is..Whites says improvements are made and upgrades included in new models..Even though they look the same except decals.
The last 5900 I bought said CB on it..never did know what that meant.
They all work well. I know that. And with the self ground balance you can get down pretty deep.I am told they make a pretty good relic hunting machine.
Elton

Composite Board and was the final revision of the 5900 Di Pro SL's circuitry and was based on the 6000 Di Pro SL 'CB' revision board.

The one big mistake I felt White's made, other than dropping the Classic series for the Prizm's and also dropping the excellent XL Pro, was to not make a manual GB version of the XL Pro. I prefer to have manual GB control and liked my 5900 Di Pro SL (CB version) better than anything White's made .... until they released the XLT in the spring of '94. That's when I traded it in for the XLT, and the main reason was to reduce the weight and improve the health of my back and shoulder. :)

Yes Sir Monte.that was a very good detector. And I would have loved a 6000 with manual ground balance.

Thanks for the info on CB meaning.....
