Question ablut recording Findpoints.

On page 15 of the Minelab CTX3030 manual under Findpoint it states "A Findpoint stores the location and details of a target. When you choose to store a Findpoint the CTX3030 stores the following information:

Location (Latitude/Longitude)

Time and date

Search mode settings (Target ID, depth)

When I mark a Findpoint on my CTX3030 and later transfer it into the Exchange2 program I get Location and Time and date but NOT Search mode settings (Target ID, depth).

Am I doing somethng wrong or is this an issue that Minelab forgot to include. I can see the Fe/Co and depth reading on the CTX3030 when I save and it shows "saving FP and then the number" but when transfering the Findpoint to Exchange2 only the Location (GPS) and Time and date appear on the map. No search mode settings are shown with the Findpoint on the map.

Okay figured it out. You have to transfer from detector into the Exchange2 saving it on the program so you can then select edit where the info is listed.

Here is a screen shot of the Find Point information shown in the XChange2 application. I have deleted the the Lat. and Long. info and have an in the field photo added. I like to have a record of my keepers, especially my farm field locations.

After posting my question and playing with the program some more with Findpoints I had transfered from the detector I found it. A really neat part of the program; like a journal of your hunt and finds. I have not used the Findpoint feature too much but will now as I see this also as a learning tool for me to analyze what the detector was reading and what I found. I'm new to Minelab machines and the more I use my Ctx3030 the more I like it. It's been a steep learning curve for me but I am making progress. This is not a machine to give up on. I read this forum daily and have learned a lot from it. Thanks!!
