Quesiton on pinpointing with the Ace 250

Today was the first time out with a new toy, But I did notice one thing. Sometimes when locating a coin and pressing the pinpoint button the screen it would be blank. Only saying pinpoint, but no bars and no tone. But when repushing it a second time it was all there.
Does anyone have an answer to this..

Thanks

Sounds like a glitch. But did you move the coil all the way off the target, then press pinpoint, and move back over the target. That might be your problem.

Yes.
1 foot away no, but it was off the target.
Have to drop a coin on the ground tonight and try it again.
Thanks

I know exactly what you mean, I noticed the same problem with my 250. When pinpoint goes silent I just hit the button again and it works fine. This is especially true if you hit the pinpoint button while the center of the coil is directly over the target, you will notice the screen goes blank and there's no sound. Almost like it disappeared. Just repress the button again away from the target and X it out and BADABING.:super:Good Luck

Sounds like it was just detuned that click.. Fairly normal.
Just repeat until you get the strength you want.

Yeah if you try to hold the coil diectly over the target and pinpoint you'll run into problems like that as you are actually detuning the target rather than pinpointing it. One needs to move all the way off the target, press pinpoint, then move back over the target - otherwise you confuse the detector.
