Well this is my second time out with my new Quattro . So far i've found four wheaties and about two dollars in clad . I hunt mainly old parks and old houses . Been using All Metal Mode and digging numbers 35 to 39 and going after all high tone signals that fall in the numbers I mentioned . Can anyone give me any tips or ideas to help increase my finds . Still waiting for that elusive silver ...Mike

and you will quickly pick up some good advice. I think for my own experience digging a hole and putting a silver dime down 6 inches and packing the ground an inch at a time helped me more with the Q than anything else I've done. I then put one down 7 inches and then 8 inches. I chose the dime because it is usually the smallest silver and I chose 6 inches for my base depth because that is where I first noticed a slight drop off in signal strength. I check the "garden" on dry days and wet days to see what they sound like. I also have a few Indians out there for company too. I am sure you are aware of your local library for old sites, and use satellite imaging off the net for locating those old sites so I will not go there. Hope this helps, Happy Hunting............
