I have a chance to pick up a nice used unit any free back? should i look at it (is it a good unit ) Built in 2004 last year in production , yes or no .Is it ez to use etc. thanks
 
It's a good detector,a bit slow processing signals,so you have to swing the coil slower than others to get the best from it,but they are deep.
Its an easy machine to use,just make sure you use the ground cancel every once in a while,and adjust the sensitivity.doing this will keep the machine from falsing and chattering.
They have a high trash setting which speeds things up a bit,but the identification is not as sharp,and you lose 10% depth or there about.
In all for the right price a good machine,as long as you are happy to go slow and methodical.
Good on the beach too!
