OLD FART

Went to middlecamp yesterday, took the gold bug pro. Didn't hit any gold but did find a 1999 penny. So I didn't get skunked. I only swung the coil for about 30 minutes. Too blame hot. Triple digit temps. My baby (gold bug pro) got pretty warm and so did I. It was fun while it lasted. I was the only one nutty enough to be swinging a coil in the midday heat. It was a fun trip though and got the wife and I out of the house. Can't wait for cooler temps. Just chompin at the bit to get out and hunt little chunks of gold this fall. See you all out in the bush come fall. OLD FART

Go out on the Indian Res north of the Texaco at Tom Well Rd, More gold there and no Indians in the summer . hunted there last winter, never saw any one out there

wow.... i would have rather gone to McDonalds at Quartzsite rather then Middle Camp July
can become pretty hot... The ground temperature can be brutal...i wonder if McDonalds  may still be the hangout for the "full-timers?" It used to be their "watering hole."

Well Jim, I actually went there that day but I don,t remember very well what Glenn Anderson looks like , especailly 20 some years later. There were a lot of old guys there about my age and some older (66). Sure wish I had known those guys back in the day. Time flys. Talked to Walt in Kingman yesterday and I am going there in the next couple of weeks to test out the infinium on some test nuggets he has and compare it to the whites tdi which is what Walt uses. Should be fun. If the infinium cannot see as small a gold as the whites then I guess I will have to get a new tdi sl. The infinium sure works good for coins, relics and jewelry. I love it. But for the gold fields I may need to switch to the tdi. I cannot afford nor justify spending $10,000 for a new minelab and all the coils and different accessories. I will leave that to the young pups who still have the vim and vigor to really go after the gold. My get up and go has got up and went. I have dropsy and heart trouble. I drop into the easy chair and don't have the heart to get up! Thanks for the chat Jim. I always enjoy chatting with you. You are a very interesting person and very knowledgeable person. Have a great day Jim.

Glen Anderson still looks the same, only a little older. He's in Williams now. I'm thinking about selling my TDI.

Hey Old Fart & All. was down there jan~feb with Gal stayed short-term at the La Posa / West Camp Hunting quartzite area & Visited that spot Hobo mentioned (have a Gully to go back to there) , I pulled mostly bullets there but it feels good - cant explain it. Maybe Miner ghosts were whisperin' to me like they do once in a while : ) That was my 1st. Finny trip but certainly had LST with me for Meteorites & Both worked good.

Old Fart I did what U said monday with finny disc at 2 - I did that aField but did not help, maybe I needed to go even slower or decrease Threshold.

My next detector (and Last for a Lonnnngggggg Time) will be a GPX 4000 for around 20sum hundred when i'm able with $. I will hunt gold with I-LS and L-ST until then. I Think tdi & finny will be similar curious to see what U report on Comparison . but for Elephant hunting, I think i'll have to go ML but i'll Never buy a new one unless i find huge Gold in the meantime ~ Never buy new Cars either , dont like losing money the minute you walk away with something
