Quarter, Quarter, Quarter, Quarter....Ring!

Diggin-it

New member
Stopped by a small inland lake yesterday for a quick (less then an hour) hunt. Its kind of a cruddy little lake in the middle of nowhere. The boat launch doubles as the swimming area. Plenty of trash signals right near shore. Working around in just over waist deep water I get a nice high tone...quarter. A few feet away...another quarter. I continue slowly wading around...another quarter, then another. I was just about to come out of the water...my time was nearly up...when I got another sweet high tone. I figured another quarter but I raised the control box out of the water and peeked at the VDI for a second for some reason...hmmm...thats a few numbers higher then the typical quarter. I got it in my first scoop as it was only showing 4" down. Up comes a nasty dark ring (very tarnished). I quickly checked it and yep...925...sweet! A nice parting gift from the lake before I left. I cleaned it with some Tarn-X but have not polished it yet. Tested the stones, did not figure they were real...not set in sterling, but tested them anyways...fake. Still the nicest silver ring I have found in a long time. The pics don't do it justice...she's a pretty ring, the wife has already claimed it...LOL.

My wife always seems to get first dibs with the rings, which of course allows more time for detecting.

:rofl:There are things that are equal to thousands of kilometers  It's good a good deal with the "opposite" my wife does not even closing time, only my desire to sleep and my work end the game.

Digging-it, nice ring, good hunt! congrats!!

un saludo
