Quality, Not Quantity

Larry beat me on the quality and quantity but I gave him a good run. I found this WW II Sterling Army/Navy Production Award pin and after doing a bit of research, it's from the Navy. The "E" stands for Excellence. I was pretty happy about finding that little jewel. I also found a "Good for 5 cents in trade to H.R.". It doesn't have a town on it, so no telling what it's for. A few wheat cents made it in my pouch with a few pieces of clad. I love the old Purex Bleach cap for .22 cents.

We went to have a burger at the Boiler Room in Kewanee and as we were leaving, I happen to see this old photo. How about that! The lights went on about the Award pin. Pretty cool!

Super finds hon :cheekkiss: love that enameled sterling Navy pin.

Wow that is a seriously cool pin!

Production and Quality Excellence award pin. You could say an Excellent find.:usaflag:

Nice pin. I love finding tokens. The only token from Illinois I can find online with the "H.R." on it is from Freeburg, which is just below St. Louis, but who knows.

Thanks Flinthunter!!! I love finding the tokens also. I was pretty happy when I saw it. It was found just outside of Galesburg. I guess we'll never know exactly where it's from but it is worth $.05 in trade. :bouncy:

Thank you guys! I love the history behind the pin and it's a real keepsake. It's a shame that someone lost it years ago.
