I just recently purchased a 15 x 12 Butterfly SEF Coil and now I did some reading up on it and im a little nervous about how well it works. I was mainly looking for more depth. Does anyone have any insite on this coil. Im thinking I shoulda went with the 8 x 6
Thanks helgriffan

i just started using the same coil on my e-trac today,in trashy areas people say you should use the smaller coil, but Ive used the 6x8 when i had my safari and i ended up sticking with the 12x15 on the safari, you just have to get used to it, you will be digging more trash but if it sounds good and the numbers are good your going to dig anyway,as far as depth i think I'm getting a couple more inches with the 12x15 compared to the stock coil when i used it on the safari i noticed that today,i hit the same area Ive been hitting for over a year now came out with a little silver and IHs,pinpointing is easy i just move the coil back until i just loose the tone and dig in front of the coil i don't use the pin pointing on the machines, to much of a pain I'm always having to dig to big of a hole that way,but after a couple hours of swinging you will start feeling the weight of that coil

You need to take a look at all of the GREAT STUFF I found with the 15x12 coil while using it all last summer! I swung that BIG coil in trashy areas and found a lot.
