Purceville Virginia - Grace Church

New member
After a couple decades of digg'n dirt I switched to sand but that changed when we stumbled accross this church. We contacted the Historical Society that owns it and with permission we dug it up a bit. Now I know why I switched to sand.

This is site has more trash than I bargained for.

There is also a trash site behind the church but I'm not going through it. I don't know if it dates back.

More can be learned here: http://www.vintagebuilding.com/GraceChurchProject.htm

You were in my back yard and you didn't invite me! That's me sitting on the porch in the fourth image. Or maybe not. Ok, I guess you weren't that close; I'm in Winchester, VA.
It certainly looks like a site that would have lots of old finds. But it looks like the site has been gone over many times before you, based on your finds.
Good luck in the future.
