Whever people walk they lose things and money would be some of that.
I'd say worth checking out.:detecting:
I have not been in those areas.

:super:Why did'nt I think of that??:super:

Anyplace there's been human activity is worth a try. Some are just more likely IMHO.

Apple orchards are another good place to try.

yep - i have one very close by and i live in a suburban area. there really are no farm field locations within 30 minutes of me other than this spot which is 7 minutes away. spoke to the farmer in september and he said the plot's been farmed since the 1700's.
picked up a 1759 cut in half spanish 8 reales there last december. have his permission to hunt at will.

So you never know what you'll find in a farm field setting...

Hey, fellas! Another speculative "pumpkin patch" i have found is the gravel parking lot areas of public fishing & camping areas. These graveled areas hide a ROSIE very well.... & they're still on top (most of 'em). Can't see 'em for all the same sized gravel chunks!! No dirt to dig, &, you can kick 'em lose w/ yer foot! Did 3 areas like this last week & got almost $7.00, mainly ROSIES. Weekenders & vacationers won't dive for a lost ROSIE... They are there to do what they came for!Just another "pumpkin patch" idea! Over the years I have hunted Cotton fields here in west Texas. Back when cotton and other crops were pulled or picked by hand the help was paid daily more then not paid under a tree on the edge of that fields.

A another good place is the Roadside fruit stands.
