New member
howdee peeps ,i am new to this site so hello and my name is mike,i am now the proud owner of a pulse power goldscan mk4 p i machine.i used to own a head hunter so i am no stranger to pulse machines but this goldscan has so many different knobs to turn i feel like i'm a bit lost with it.
i hunt beaches for gold rings in South Wales.can any body give some tips on tweaking it for the best results on british beaches for me.
i also use a sovereign elite and an etrac with good results but felt i needed more depth so i got another pulse.
any tips for the goldscan are much apreciated.
cheers peeps
happy hunting
mike

Hello seeker41,

Are you interested in an Eric Foster "AquaSearch v2" PI detector?

I have one that is as close to new as you can get without being brand new.

I'm asking $1100.00 for it plus shipping costs.

If you're interested get in touch with me.

Last night... in a moment of indecision I offerred to sell my Eric Foster AquaSearch v2. After having thought about it overnight I have come to my senses and decided to withdraw my offer to sell.

I'm sorry for any inconveniences that may have caused anyone.

Sorry about that Chuck. I don't know what I was drinking when I typed that message... but thankfully I recovered then next morning. ;)

Hi all, just rediscovered the forum again after being away from detecting for many years ,i have a eric foster goldquest ss v2 , just wondering what it might be worth these days , and if there is a mod or housing i could buy to make the control unit waterproof , many thanks for any info , mike.

I think you made the right decision based upon what I have read. They are supposed to be "the detector" for water hunting. They are no longer made and very hard to come by. I had an opportunity to buy one a couple of years ago but passed because of the cost and the problem with where to get them serviced if you had problems with them.If you ever temporarily loose your mind again I would be very interested. Thanks and take care!

I am curious as to why you no longer use your HHPI? I own one and have only used it a little bit but find it is very deep and very sensitive. I am new to pulse hunting and use it mainly in freshwater where I live, but get to use it one a year when I travel to Florida. I would be very interested in learning more from you regarding this machine as I have no other experience to compare it to. Take care!

Hi big baps, I detect the beach and in the water down in north devon. I use an Excalibur 1000. I've done 3 trips away this winter detecting, 6 gold rings and a decent 35g 14k necklace so far. I more week away in march I'm hoping. You find much on the beeches in Wales? I've not found much gold here in devon.......
Cheers water wizard
