I'm looking at getting one of these here 3030's. I've had my exterra 70 for many years, but I want to move up. The price tag is bad enough but reading the posts for the last month and a half..scares me. Is it worth it? Are all the bugs reasonably worked out? Most importantly....can I survive the rath of my wife? Ugh....

Haven't experienced any bugs, and have had my CTX for two weeks now. I loved the E-TRAC, but this machine is superior.

I got my detector 1 week after they came out done the upgrade and it work awesome. This is my first Minelab WHAT a detector I am hamming the old coins the detector is a AWESOME detector GO FOR IT.

If I were you I'd keep it hidden too or she may pull a trigger on you there's no way that CTX looks like n X-terra .

The only bugs I know of were addressed with the update and Minelab stands by it's product if you have a problem they will replace it. The problem now is supply vs demand. They are getting ready to have a shortage for awhile so I would grab one before they get on back order. I love mine it is an amazing machine I loved my SE but this machine is well worth the money.

I got the silent treatment but it is over now, now what I need is for the 3131 to come out and life is good again. Great detector go for it, they cannot stay quiet for long.

Another standby is to reply to her question, "Is that new?", with "Naw I've had that for a while." Might have been a few hours or a few weeks but it's an honest statement.
