Took the Vaq to the park and heard a faint signal that sounded like a coin. About ten inches down I got a Buffalo, 1917. I never dreamed I would dig a nickle that deep. Filled the hole and plug back in reswept it and it beeped again. In the same hole but to the side was another one about 8 inches deep.

Using my default settings. Sensitivity on 9 , threshold on the last o of the Tesoro emblem and the Disc on the notch past iron. There may be better detectors but the tesoro has made me a better detectorist.

Nice pair of Buffalos,

If you are digging 8" and 10" Buffs, there is'nt much getting by your Vaquero, nice job !

NIce job! Always like Buffalos, but haven't founnd any lately.

Finding a couple of Buffalo Nickels would make anyone's day. Tesoro detectors love nickels and gold rings.

that is impressive and not the common 1936 but a very old date of 1917 that Vaquero is hot "

Nice!!!

The Vaq may have only been hitting only on the shallower coin. I will never know. One thing Ive learned about the Vaq and deep coins. They often fade away when the disc is thumbed up slowly, not abruptly stop. These nickles didnt stop making a noise until I thumbd it past tab. I figured there was an old dime down there.

Thats an awesome pair! I love those buff nickels, beauty coin for sure.:clapping:..those Tesoros evidently are built to hit nickels and gold deep, even still, sounds like you know your machine very well..Nice work!
Mud.
