PROVIDER AND PROTECTOR.....We walk by faith, not by sight....2 Corinthians 5:7....

These seven little words describe an entire way of life. To operate in faith instead of what we see calls for an inner conviction that God can be trusted to do what He says. When our health is uncertain, He's our Physician. When we're down to our last dime, He's our Provider. When there's no energy, He's our Power. When the enemy surrounds us, He's our Protector.

If we trust God to do what He says, then we have to trust His timing as well. This is hard for us planners. We prefer circumstances, people, and events to work on our timetable. This way we have the illusion we're in control!

God has to remind us all the time: If I'm your Physician, Provider, Power and Protector.....don't you think you can trust Me to be your Planner as well?

Luci Swindoll.....Women of Faith Devotional Bible

Doug's praise post reminded me of this, which I had read on August 30...but God's timing is always the best and now is the time to post it.

Do I need reminded of all that God will do for me....Oh yes.....as my flesh seems to be getting weaker and my body is failing while I'm still alive on this earth. Like Saint Paul said....I sure would like to be Home with Jesus, but alas my work here isn't finished! There is a song, "OH, WON'T IT BE WONDERFUL THERE? Yes...it will....and I can hardly wait!

God Bless....Happy Hunting and Serving Jesus!

I sure do - the older I get the more I trust the Lord to guide me through tough times. And He always does.
Old saying "The Lord doesn't always answer your prayers when you want - but He's always right on time". Steve in so az

the Baptist Church years ago, our pastor (young man) always preached that many should be glad that God didn't answer their prayers concerning a certain girl or boy they wanted to marry so badly because they would have been so sorry after they got older and smarter! Well, I was one of them and am still sorry about the way my marriage ended up....too soon old and too late smart! :(

Glad yours worked out so great...Give God the praise for it lasting so long and hopefully many more years. But 40 more would make you over 100 years....don't know if you and Nancy want to live that long...but if in good health it would be great! Think about all the years you could maybe detect and raise flowers! :)

God Bless!

Good sermon! :)

their marriage has had no bumps in the road they are a liar. We got by ours years ago - with help from the Lord - Steve

God does a good job of either getting you on a better path or just plain repaving the road. :

the other doesn't...it is like two mules going in opposite directions when trying to pull the wagon...doesn't work...unless they both put it in God's hands, Who does work it out for our good and His purpose when we allow Him to do so! If I only knew then what I know today...it might have been better...but he always thought it was greener on the other side of the fence....which just has more manure making it look greener! :(

God Bless!

it won't be too long. I saw a few yesterday as I was on a road trip to fleet HQ. We start our month long, 7 days a week, trains for foliage on the 16th. Hoping to get some time in, I need the money. We've managed to pay off most of the bills but have oil and other payments that will be coming due soon. If I see some really good ones, I'll try and post some pics.
