From the land of the Bluenose.....by midday the glow in the dark radio active Bardman had returned from his routine trip to the hospital none the worse for wear. We decided to try a few spots in Spryfield that we had hit before. Surprised the Bardman on the way by introducing him to park that he didn't know exsisted....spoil that bouy with new spots! Grass in parts of the park were a tad wet so Dave hit the sandy beach after digging a few coins. Almost had the big one on the first coin as it looked like a gold one but turned out to be a 200 lira Italian coin. Well at least got to cross off another first from my list! This find was followed by the
"usual suspects" in the form of a gang of coppers while the Bardman patrolled the sand dune.
As seems to happen all too frequently our time was marked as I was due for another 12 hour night shift so we moved on to our original pick of parks. Had to leave something for the Bardman to dig during the week as he specializes in schools and playing fields. At the other location we picked up a few more coins to boaster the coin count but nothing of note till just before we left when I dug up part of a hockey medal which depicted a hockey player with the inscription "proud Canadian." I for one think that Canada is more than an a group of over paid sookie players, greedy owners and bouys who can't string two coherent words together in a logical sentence . They showed their true colour last year and this bouy who loves to play the game will not watch it on the tube or support this or any other pro sports business. By the way our real national game is lacrosse................enough on that tangent!
End result of the day was a key and chain, kids ring, the broken medal and 31 coins @ $1.81
