PROTECT your Investment at the Beach... CHEAP and EASY....

Hi everyone. I am still very new to metal detecting. Everyone has been very helpful with all my questions.
I am sure most of you have your own method of protecting your metal detector while at the beach. I have come up with a easy cheap way to keep the elements from destroying my investment.
First I use a gallon size zipper lock bag over the box unit. It takes a minute to work it on right, but the zip lock can be partially zipped up to and under the cup. Then I cut a hole for the cable and pull it through. This gives me the freedom to set my detector on the ground when I need to without having sand intrude my box. Then I place a sandwhich size zip lock bag over my screen to help keep the salty air from constantly collecting on it. It to can be partially closed from either side to the handle, and you can still press the buttons. For added protection I have also placed a cell phone screen protector on my screen.
I figure since I spent the money for the best. Im going to treat it like the best.

I hope this can help out..
