Prospecting with Mine lab X-Terra 705

Hi All, I am almost ready to Buy an X-Terra 705 Mine lab. I feel by what I have read, that it will be a Great all purpose metal detector. I just used a buddies Sovereign Mine lab and found deep silver at the beach, I couldn't believe it. I want to know some general opinions on this units abilities in both on the beach in wet sand and in the desert in prospecting mode. I live in Southern California (San Diego) and hope to look around in the Yuma areas and maybe Mojave for starters. Thanks for any info. Rick

If the Yuma-Mojave mineralized ground-hot rocks get too bad for the 705(VLF) to handle, then you might consider the new Whites TDI SL as a second back-up machine. Also the TDI SL(PI) will go deeper than the Sovereign(BBS-FBS machines and of course the 705) in wet saltwater sand but only has a crude tone(silver vs iron or gold) discrimination is its disadvantage.

I think you well be happy with 705 good all around detector
