Property Marker ?

Hello all and Happy New Year,I have a friend that wants me to search for a property marker on his lot.My question is will this pop up in coin mode,i think so ( have the 250) or should I use all metal?Have not done much experimenting with it.I only have approx. 8 hours swing time and any any tips would be appreciated.

It's cold out and I am a warm weather person so I will search a lot more in the Spring when the Trout Season opens back up. In the winter I am born upside down my feet smell and my nose runs lol anyway hope everyone has a cheerful 2009 with lots of finds............Thanks in advance:detecting:

6x9 or 9x12 coil I think the larger one.

Frank, I did the very same thing for a friend's uncle. There was a dispute over his back property line that was very much overgrown. The property owners, not wanting to have the cost of bringing someone in to resurvey it, said they would be satisfied if the corner property markers could be found. Ofcourse no one even knew if any existed. But I had to find two, which I did. To answer your question, in my case I used the all metal mode, not knowing if the coin mode would pick them up. I did hit a couple pieces of trash, but when I did find the posts, which were buried from years of leaves and such falling on them, they were iron, and the coin program would have canceled them, or to be more specific, not given a solid signal that I may have passed over. Hope that helps....

Ditto, I did the same thing used the all metal mode to find mine and everyone's else. Most of us are on 2.5 to 5 acre lots.

Hey I found it,he had an idea of where it was.Searched a small area and bingo all metal mode 4 " deep.My friend said they wanted 500.00 to locate it for him. took me about five minutes.:)
