Programming with the x-1 probe

Hi Jim,
Awhile back i read a post of yours about using the x-1 probe for programming coin programs. I thought that sounded real interesting. Jim when you do that what are your sens settings or what other settings do you use when programing with the x-1.
thanks,
stan sjmdc

Hey Stan, I was in the house so I lowered the sens to around 10.. was very stable with just the probe on, so I imagine you could get away with more out side.. other than that I just left my normal settings.. if you move the target in and out from the tip of the probe coil when rejecting or accepting you make a very tight pattern that the other coils still see fine.. I still would recommend opening the top right a bit more using edit mode, just to accept more up there as silver jewelry atc doesnt always read as dimes quarters etc... I will post a pic of a pattern I made latter this weekend.. heck I dont even use the patterns much, but its fun making them and having them stored in case I run into pulltab city <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

Thanks Jim.
I myself mostly run with an open screen with iron mask but i thought your idea of using the x-1 was pretty cool. It always amazes me theres never a dull moment owning an explorer.
Thanks ,
stan sjmdc

Jim when you do make a program and store it , How do you bring it up to use it . i did this with a program from andy's book but cannot retreive it to use it .

go to the select screen from the menu.. push the clear all button or uncheck everythings thats checked.. scroll down till you find the Sx that you saved it to and check it.. then hit detect
