programing out pennies

Can anyone tell me how to successfully program out pennies on my Explorer XS?

You know where they hit, so just forget about them and move on. If they are 4 inches or greater on the depth it would be wise to dig them anyway.

I use my Explorer under water and was finding so many pennies it was driving me crazy, so I followed the programing method described in the Andy Sabisch book on page 96. (It's too long to post). But instead of using trash, I used a penny with the smallest cursor. Using the smallest cursor will black out a very small area, so it will not reject "all" pennies, only those that have a "pure" penny signal. (My experience says that it will reject about 65 or 70 percent of the pennies). The blacked out area is so small that anything other than a penny will not be rejected. HH....Bob

what do you wish to accomplish by doing this. the more you program out the more chance there is of losing good targets and depth. you need to dig them any way to lessen the chance of masking out a good target.
