program for recently lost coins and jewelry

Hi i am in Aussie and all of our coins are in the 12 ferrous range, as is gold rings etc. Silver rings come out at a lower ferrous number but a high conductivity number.I hunt for recently lost shallow targets where there is little variation in the numbers. So I contructed a pattern which blanks out the complete bottom of the screen up to level 13 ferrous and then at 11 upwards have blanked out the top of the screen across to level 40 conductivity This finishes up with and narrow band across the screen with level 12 ferrous being the centre and leaves the top right hand side of the screen open for silver which is generally around 2-3ferrous-47-49 conductivity. So I am covered for recently lost gold, and silver rings, and coins. I have used this on my back lawn and it works well. Today I am going out to try it in a park which has had a recent festival I will let you know how I go seeya Neilo

Great info Neilo,

I'm an aussie also (Adelaide) and I'll keep it in mind when I get my e-trac at the end of the month. Sounds like a good one for High trash sites and where depth isn't so critical.

Cheers Mate

Well went out and tried that pattern, it is broad and I had a fair amount of rubbish signals to deal with. But by running sensitivity to a low setting of 8 in manual also using the long audio response and running in fast recovery I was able to seperate the good signals. I had to swing very slowly in the rubbish filled areas but didnt do too badly I finished up finding 77 coins $101 Aust and a silver pendant in the shape of a sword. seeya Neilo
