Proformance search coil

As anyone tried the new proformance search coil on their older GTI 1500. If so what, did you think? Is it worth upgrading?

i cant wait to find out myself. I ordered a 7X10 Proformance elliptical for my gtax1250 and now it got real cold out and havent had a chance to try it out

You're gonna like it once you get used to pinpointing with the elliptical. Let's you crank that Sens. up a little more. I bought one for my 1250 when they first hit the market a couple years back and never even thought of putting that round coil back on.

I was referring to the new proformance 9.5" imaging searchcoil that comes on the new GTI's. Is it much improvement over the original 9.5" imaging search coil that used to come on the GTI's?

but I strayed off on Missouri_Johns post about the 7 x 10 on the 1250. I think a lot about ordering one of the new Proformance Imaging coils for my 1500 and 2500, but always find something else to spend the bucks on. I'm bettin' they are much more stable than the old white coils as that is what I've found with all the other Proformance coils I have. I've read some posts that the guys loved them and a few where guys are sorry they sold their old white coils after getting one. Good luck with your decision and let us know what you think of it if you decide to buy one.
