Problems with my F2, NO pinpoint function!

MarkCZ

Well-known member
Well, my new F2 that I have had out on only four hunts now seems to be developing a problem. The pinpoint membrane button won't change detector to pinpoint mode but only once and a while.
The button looks perfect!
Its not flattened out or con-caved!
It feels normal! (it pops in and out when I push it)

I always use the pad of my finger, not my finger nail to push the button!
I've tried to push the button in at different locations as far as more to the top, a little left, right, bottom, but its still very random about changing modes.

Anybody else having any F2 problems like this?
The reason I ask is because if this is somewhat of a common problem then I have NO plan on every four or five hunts sending it back to First Texas until its out of warranty.

Oh, by the way I have a Fisher CZ-7a Pro that has the membrane buttons and I've never had any trouble out of it, so I'm not ruff on the buttons!

MARKCZ THATS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM I HAD WITH ME OMEGA SO I SENT IT IN AND HOPEFULLY WILL HAVE BACK IN THE NEX6T FEW DAYS IM SURE THE GUYS AND GALLS AT FIRST TEXAS WILL TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF US ON THE PINPOINTING PROBLEM WITH OUR TWO DETECTORS.,i WOULD SUGGEST CALLING THEM AND GETTING AN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER AND THEN SENDING IT IN TO THEM..MARKMAC

Well, I have the F2 packed up and ready to go back to Fisher. But it was interesting to find out that I have to pay to have their defective product sent back to them?? I've had other companies products that had to be sent back and they paid shipping both ways!

If its not fixed right the first time however...and you need to send it back in in a relatively short period of time............insist on a FEX Ex pickup. They will give you a number. I dont have a problem doing it once.............but you shouldnt have to pay more than that. Send it FED Ex as its usually cheaper than The post office.......................and FED EX wont destroy it like UPS is likely to.

Your kidding me right!
Fed-EX delivered me an air compressor one time and I sware if I didn't have a roof on my porch I would have thought they air dropped it from about 10,000 feet! It was totally trashed.

A short time back my neighbor's little boy brought over a package and stated "I think this belongs to you" LOL!

Another time I took a mobile CB antenna to Fed-EX to ship it like 300 miles down south, they wanted $40.00 :yikes: I took it to the post office and shipped it for $9.00.
Not a big fan of Fed-ex in my area.
