Problems with MXT display

If your detector is under warranty it is covered. With Whites they would probably cover it anyway. There is NO way I would send it back I would keep hunting and have them send me a new lens. It takes about 5 minutes to pull the old one off and stick on the new one. Whites sent me new forearm pads and a toggle boot for my MXT and there was no charge. Then I wrote them about my IDX that I bought used. I wanted new side decals to make it look better, I got the decals sent to me free and then I put the extra MXT toggle boot they had sent on the IDX toggle. It look like new now. Whites service has been good to me. Rob
The pod is not a sealed unit, look where the wires enter the pod just above the foam handle. You can see an open hole, so unless rain gets in around the loose film you are OK.. Tape around the screen cover will seal it until the new one comes or put a sandwich bag over the pod like we do when it rains. Rob
