Problems with DFX Adjustments

Leny

New member
Hello,

I have there a small problem - i have tried the programs from http://dfx.oz-space.de/. No idea who can such with this Adjustments. The VDI Sens on 80, Preampgain on 4 and then yet the AC Sens on 80 - there the DFX whistles with me out of all holes (DFX Beebs all time!) (the remaining attitudes have I naturally adapted).

To my detector: is a DFX E series with Spiderspule .

I seek usually in the forest with a DC of 70- 78 and get nevertheless yet false Signals. Preamp 4 is almost impossible.
Now my question: What do I make incorrectly?

Thanks for all Answers

I am a dfx newbi, but if it is unstable, you can turn down your AC sens And OR the pre amp gain. For me its give and take, if I want a higher preamp I may have to lower my AC, or if i want high AC I may have to turn down my pre amp, until I find a good stable setting. Your pre amp of 3 might be fine, but for your area the ac sens of 75 may be High. In your last sentence you said DC sens of 70 - 80, I assume you meant AC? VDI sens is just a display setting. I would try posting your question in the DFX classroom forum, or at dfxonly those guys know 1000 x more than I. Good luck

Edit, I see you are using 15khz only, which from my reading is great for prospecting / finding small conductive stuff, lots of trash or even emi could be making it go crazy.
