Problems discriminating Tiger Shark

Hello "my problem" is the Disc level, i already made a lot of tests and experience, and i cant discriminate metals.

Do i have to select the disc level before i turn on the machine?...or i have to check the sensitivity of the machine? or the disc ability only works in normal mode?
I am a little confused with the Discrimination! please some suggestions.

Tell me how much you already know about the machine, and this would help me help you. First the machine Has to be ground ballanced, this is not hard to do, but it seems alot of people have problems doing the ground ballance thing......Later.........Hombre

The ground balance i can do an it works perfect like the instructions. The discrimination i don't understand but i can disc. iron for example.

Well..........It's like this, the disc is linear, at a Disc. setting of about 2 you are knocking out small nails, it takes a setting of about 6 or so to Disc out pulltabs, BUT you are knocking out gold jewelery at this setting. I run my disc from between 3 and 4, because I am looking for gold,.......and Coins......... you can't Disc. those out. I don't want coins, they are just a byproduct of my finds....Hombre
