We're here... Ocean City!
Below is a picture of Bia's new Excal 800 on Rielly's lightening rod. It's her birthday (Shes 37 Sunday) and I wanted her to have something nice! Mine is in the closet on the same shaft. It's the last pictured below.
The new shaft is powder coated black but one problem existed. When I tried it on my hand was around the grip and my elbow was in the cup. A drill and I moved the cup "3 inches" closer to the grip but prevented the shaft from holding a head unit. My saber saw cut off the excess shaft from the rear making the change permanent. Thats O.K. for us because we're hip mounted. The red pad you see in the cup was cut from a big sheet of 1/8th inch gasket used for steam pipes. I used a glue gun to hold it down. It came out nice but the haloween colors kill me. What can I say, it was all I could get.
Kevin at Rielly's also customized a stainless steel monster scoop for me. Notice the handle? The picture reads 6.4lbs but the scale was wrong. It's a tad over 7lbs. (Thanx MAX for the idea) Kevin also threw in some pretty cool find bags that loop through our weight belts perfectlly. They are real nice!
