Problem with the HF Coil

Hi All,

I bought a HF coil for my X-Terra 70 about 2 weeks ago. I have used it maybe 5 hours total. Last Sat., about an hour into some detecting, I noticed it was acting strange. Or not acting at all.
I put a penny down to check the response. Nothing. I turned the detector off and back on. Still no response to the penny. It was fine an hour earlier, I finally gave up and put the stock 7.5 coil back on and the detector was fine the rest of the weekend.

Anyone experience any problems with the new HF coil?

I haven't had or heard of any problems with the HF coil, either the concentric one or the DD. I would send it back to Minelab, or take it to your dealer for a new one.

The 5" X 10" HF.

Minelab USA to the rescue. I called them and they will send a new coil and a shipping voucher. Excellent customer service.
