Problem with the excal

I used the Excal II last month. Charged the battery and went to check it out to take to the beach this weekend. Instead of getting that steady buzzing, I got a sound like "whoop, whoop, whoop." It was awful. Tried charging the battery again and the same result. I'm gonna call minelab tomorrow. Anyone have this problem before?

If the whoop is every 30 seconds then that is the low battery alert. Could be a problem with the battery, charger, or connection to the charger.
