Problem with my new SE.

Tony in SC

New member
I bought the SE to complement my DFX. I've been swinging it 3or4 hrs a day all week, and so far I like it very much but,the upper rod has fallen off twice. Is this common? If so is there an easy fix. For what I paid for this detector I would not expect this to happen. Tony

That happened to me also, but just once. When I replaced it I made sure to shove it into the housing pretty good, hard enough to make the cam hard to set. So far, so good.

One of the problem is that some don't push the upper shaft all the way into the control box before the lock it. The upper shaft slides in a little tight and has to go in about 1 1/2 inch until it stops, then lock the cam lock. Never had a problem with a shaft sliding out on the Explorer II or the SE.

I had the problem at first, finally realized I had the upper rod wrong side up, no problem since.--Wade

Discovered that I wasn't getting the rod in all the way. Works fine now. Thanks, Tony
