Problem Fixed

Simple problem, calls for a simple solution.

The cuff strap on my AT Gold kept slipping through the slot at the end where it was looped resulting in it falling when I wasn't holding onto it. Nothing serious but it was annoying.
So, I figured it just needed to be a bit thicker so it wouldn't fit through. As there are two loops in the end I just looked around the house for something to slip inside them so they couldn't compress and get through the slot. A simple plastic hanger provided what I needed. Here's a shot that shows the tools I used and one plastic part cut out of one end of the hanger, the other part is still attached to the inside left side of the hanger for this picture. The clear silicone was used to coat the bits of plastic before slipping them into the end loops. This will seal them in so they don't fall out.

And here is a shot of them inside the loops to show what I mean..

Problem solved. Hope this helps anyone else that has had this happen.

How's that saying go? "Necessity is the mother of invention" Nice one, Artie

Thanks!
You just ended my sewing career.
And my 32 year search for a thimble has been for naught. I am crossing it off my "To Find List".
