Ive always used a stand alone pinpionter, just curious what the pros of having one attached to the detector are?

The S-1 gets excellent depth, doesn't interfere with the detector or the detector with it, has all metal mode & disc mode, you hear it through your headphones.... Disadvantages are added weight & forgetting to switch back to the main coil . Weight barely noticeable if mounted low & rearward as this one is.

If your digging in hard ground & you get your plug out & you have a signal in all metal but you don't have one in disc its probably iron.. wildherre

It hasn't been 2005 last post.
Any chance you can make me a moderator so it can be kept functioning.
Right now no one can join without someone giving approval.
I have tried to rejoin twice...
Thanks

I mounted my S1 on top of the control housing, with velcro. I just "rip" it off when I need it and slap it back on without looking when I'm done. Just gotta remember to switch back to coil.
