Probe and coils on V'3/??

I am asking this question for a friend! He is a major Whites man but does not own a computer! He is thinking of buying a V'3 and was wondering if the same probe and coils for his DFX would also work on the V'3? I believe i read that it would but wanted to make sure.. I told him i would ask you guys and get back to him!

They will work but not as good as the new coils that have been tuned or nulled for the V3. With alot of the old coils you will not be able to use the TX boost.
Good thing is that if you buy a new V3 befor sep 30 there is a $100 off coupon and you get a new V3 tuned coil for 60% off. So the answer would be yes and no
they will work but not to the full potential of the V3.

Bring him up north 30 miles Derrell and he can try his coils and probe on my V3. He can see for himself how they work. The coils I have for my MXT work ok if you don't crank things up too much. My 6x10 works well enough I'm not going to replace it but I decided to get a new 5.3 coil. I'm not a fan of large concentric coils so I couldn't tell you about the stock DFX coil or the super 12. Give your friend my phone number if you have it and he can call to make arrangements for us to get together. If you don't have it, PM me and I will send it to you.

The SunRay DX-1 works fine for me. It does not get quite as deep as when on the DFX, but the All Metal adjustment on the V3, as is on the DFX, has a big effect on the depth in pinpoint. The loops used on the DFX will also work, but may not work with the TX Boost feature turned on the V3. Not everyone can even use the TX Boost depending on the ground conditions.
