Probably too early to ask about the Gold Bug III but.......

Old Katz

I noticed a few posts down some people have already got their Gold Bug III.
That was back in January 18th. Just curious as to anymore feed back that might
be out there. I just wonder if it will be any serious compition to the Garrett
Scorpian Gold? Thats a proven machine as are the original Gold Bugs I and II.
Someone posted and said the new GB III is an entry level machine but I wonder....?

Having not used any of the Fisher models can anyone tell me the difference between
the New GB III and the GB I and GB III.

Thanks
Katz

The new one is named just Gold Bug.

Gold Bug III is something that Cabella's coined the name to. What Cabella's has is not the finished product that will be released to Fisher dealers.

Fisher dealers will have a improved/modified version. It is yet to be released.

Yes I have them on order. By the end of the month I hope.

Thanks Bill:
Thats interesting to know. How does Cabellas get by selling the GB 3?
Is tis just some kind of PRMO that will introduce the real Gold Bug? Whats the
relationship between Cabellas and Fisher?

Cabella's is a great customer of First Texas. They had certain contractual obligations between them, that's why they have a Gold Bug made for them.

So it's like Kelly Co and Whites who makes dummed down versions
of Whites machines. Dummed down probably isn't the best way to discribe them
I guess. People on the forums have always steered me away from these
"specially made" versions.
Thanks

To add to the confusion look at this ad - it says it's a Cabella's exclusive haha .. looks like a Teknetics Alpha face but names a Bounty Hunter Gold.

If you look at some of the other Bounty Hunters now on it's main page you will see the Teknetics detectors except the T2 listed plus a bunch more that have Delta,Gamma, and Omega faces yet called another name. Also some camo designs in the New Bounty Hunter line. Now the New Gold Bug detector from Fisher's picture does not even come close to the same as the Bounty Hunter Gold (Alpha ) pic.

Your right. It IS confuseing!
Someone must have had one too many!
Even my grandkids could come up with a better page.
