Starting using the hi pro program and noticed modulation is plus one what does modulation do? And is it beneficial to use?

Modulation causes deeper signals to be lower in volume than shallow targets.

One would think you would want deep signals to be just as loud,I think I'll be turning it off thanks for the input

I don't use it myself. It can be used to tell when you are over a deeper target. It had also quiet some of the noise off deeper bits of junk. It's a personal thing.
